In Mineral Industry, Gyratory Screen, Linear Vibrating Screen and Dewatering Screen are often used in screening equipment. Coreal Machinery gives you specific examples:
1. Square Gyratory Screen/Circular Gyratory Screen

Application: Suitable for fine screening of ore, with relatively small processing capacity and high requirements for material particle size. It is often used in ore dressing plants to grade and screen ore. It can also be used in some ore processing industries with strict requirements on particle size, such as refractory material plants for raw material screening.
For example: In quartz production, the material after crushing and grinding is finely screened through the Gyratory Screen to separate quartz particles of different particle sizes for subsequent different ore dressing operations. Usually, the ore can be screened into different levels to provide raw materials of suitable particle size for subsequent flotation, gravity separation and other processes.

Application: It has a large processing capacity and is suitable for coarse and medium screening of ores. It can be used for screening operations of various ores, such as iron ore, limestone, etc. It is widely used in mining sites, ore crushing production lines, and the pre-treatment stage of beneficiation plants.
For example: In the crushing production line of a large limestone mine, the mined limestone is first crushed by a jaw crusher, and the coarsely crushed limestone is screened by a Linear Vibrating Screen. Materials larger than a certain particle size (such as 50mm) are screened to a cone crusher for medium crushing, and materials smaller than this particle size are directly sent to the next process, such as a Small crusher for grinding. This can improve production efficiency and ensure that the particle size of materials entering subsequent equipment meets the requirements.
3.Dewatering screen
Application: It is mainly used for ore dehydration, desludging and de-mediuming operations. It is often used for dehydration of concentrates and tailings in beneficiation plants, as well as dehydration of coal slime in the coal industry.
For example: In an iron ore beneficiation plant, the iron concentrate obtained through flotation or magnetic separation usually contains a lot of water and needs to be initially dehydrated through a dewatering screen. The dewatering screen reduces the moisture in the iron concentrate to a certain level, which is convenient for subsequent filtration and drying operations, and improves the quality and transportation efficiency of the iron concentrate.
