The Centrifugal Screen utilizes a completely different operating principle from vibrating screens, fundamentally eliminating the conditions that cause screen clogging. Coreal Machinery has compiled some information for your reference

Core Operating Principle:
The core of the Centrifugal Screen is not a vibrating screen surface, but a fixed, vertical circular screen. Its operation is as follows:
- Negative pressure adsorption and conveying: A fan generates negative pressure inside the device, drawing the flour to be sifted through the feed inlet into the screening chamber.
- Centrifugal dispersion: Flour enters the screening chamber and falls to the bottom, where it is then swept by a high-speed rotating turbine impeller. The impeller evenly throws the flour particles onto the screen walls.
- Airflow cleaning: A tightly fitting air jet ring with a row of precision nozzles is installed on the outside of the screen. Compressed air is sprayed onto the screen through the nozzles.
- Classification and collection: Flour particles smaller than the mesh size pass through the screen and are transported to the system as undersize. Any remaining coarse fibers, lumps, and other oversize materials are isolated on the inside of the screen and discharged through a separate outlet.
For lightweight, fine, and easily absorbent materials like flour, which may contain grease or moisture, the Centrifugal Screen has significant limitations:
- Electrostatic Adsorption: Friction between flour particles and the nylon mesh generates static electricity, which attracts the screen and clogs the mesh.
- Material Characteristics: Flour is lightweight and has poor fluidity, making it prone to accumulating on the screen rather than passing through.
- Moisture/Grease: Flour that is slightly damp or contains grease is extremely sticky and easily forms small lumps that clog the mesh.
- Low Screening Efficiency: Traditional screens require frequent downtime for cleaning, severely impacting continuous production.
Summary of the Centrifugal Screen's unique advantages in solving the clogging problem:
- No clogging: The forced airflow cleaning mechanism is proactive and preventative, rather than passive. This is its greatest advantage over any vibrating screen.
- Extremely High Screening Efficiency: Since the mesh is always unobstructed, the effective screening area is maximized, resulting in a throughput 5-10 times greater than that of a conventional vibrating screen of the same size.
- High Screening Precision: Stable airflow and negative pressure ensure thorough dispersion of the material, giving each particle an equal opportunity to pass through the screen. This results in highly accurate grading and consistent product quality.
- Environmentally Friendly and Product-Protective:
Fully Enclosed System: No dust is generated, improving the working environment and complying with food GMP and safety production standards.
Low-Temperature Screening: The screening process generates virtually no heat, preventing thermal damage to flour components such as protein and starch, thereby preserving the flour's original quality.
- Easy Maintenance: The device has a relatively simple structure, lacking complex vibration motors or exciters. The main moving part is the turbine impeller, resulting in low maintenance costs.
Application Scenarios
The Centrifugal Screen is primarily used for high-precision, high-efficiency screening processes in flour processing:
- Specialty flour production: For example, cake flour, bread flour, and biscuit flour require extremely high fineness and purity to remove even tiny impurities.
- Flour Post-Processing: After the addition of nutritional enhancers or improvers, homogenization and screening are required to ensure a uniform blend.
- Fine screening of high-quality flour: This final step ensures final product quality.
- Recycled flour processing: This process processes flour recovered from the production line that may contain minor impurities or lumps.
