A Linear Vibrating Screen is a device ideally suited for cleaning and grading soybeans. Its operating principle is to utilize the excitation force generated by a vibrating motor to cause the screen box to move back and forth linearly at a predetermined angle. This causes the material to be thrown up and moved forward in a leaping motion on the screen surface, thereby achieving grading and separation.
Coreal Machinery has compiled some information for your reference.

I. Advantages of Linear Vibrating Screens in Soybean Separation
- 1. Efficient Cleaning: It effectively separates light and heavy impurities from soybeans.
- 2. Accurate Grading: It can grade soybeans by size, separating oversized, undersized, and damaged beans, resulting in uniformly sized, high-quality commercial beans or seeds.
- 3. High Capacity: Linear Vibrating Screens are typically designed with a wide screen area, making them suitable for large-scale continuous production.
- 4. Simple Structure and Easy Maintenance: The equipment operates smoothly, has a low failure rate, and is easy to clean and replace the screen.
II. Separation Principle and Process
Soybeans and the mixture fall evenly onto the front of the screen from the feed inlet. Under the action of vibration, the following occurs:
1. First Screening (Large Impurity Removal):
- Upper Screen: Typically, a screen with a pore size slightly larger than the maximum diameter of the soybeans is used.
- Process: The soybeans and smaller impurities pass through the sieve holes, while larger impurities remain on the sieve surface and continue to move forward, ultimately being discharged through the large impurity outlet.
2. Second Screening (Small Impurity Removal and Classification):
- Lower Screen: A screen with a pore size smaller than the minimum diameter of the soybeans is used.
- Process: The material falling from the upper layer reaches the lower screen surface. Full, full soybeans cannot pass through these sieve holes and continue to move forward along the screen surface, eventually being discharged through the main product outlet.
- Meanwhile, impurities smaller than the soybeans pass through the lower screen and fall into the small impurity outlet at the bottom, where they are collected and discharged.
3. Optional Air Separation:
- Many Linear Vibrating Screens are integrated with an air separation system. During or after screening, the airflow suctions or blows away light impurities that significantly differ in weight from the soybeans, further enhancing cleaning efficiency.
The result:
- Mainstream outlet: Clean, uniformly sized, high-quality soybeans.
- Large impurity outlet: Large impurities.
- Fine impurity outlet: Fine sand, broken beans, small stones, etc.
III. Application Scenarios
- 1. Soybean Purchasing Stations/Grain Depots: Initial cleaning of purchased raw grain to remove large and small impurities.
- 2. Soybean Processing Companies: Clean raw materials before oil extraction, soy product production, soy flour, etc., protecting subsequent equipment and improving product quality.
- 3. Seed Companies: Strictly grade and clean soybean seeds to ensure purity, cleanliness, and germination rate.
The Linear Vibrating Screen is an efficient, economical, and reliable mechanical solution for separating soybeans from impurities.
