Linear Vibrating Screen can be effectively used to separate BSF (Black Soldier Fly) larvae and feces. The following is a detailed introduction:
Coreal Machinery has compiled some information for your reference.

Working Principle:
Linear Vibrating Screen uses two symmetrical vibrating motors as vibration sources. The material is thrown up on the screen surface and jumps forward in a straight line. The screened materials and underscreen materials of various specifications are screened through different levels of screens and discharged from different outlets to achieve the separation of larvae and feces.
Application Advantages:
1) Efficient separation: Linear Vibrating Screen has a large processing capacity and can quickly process a large amount of materials containing BSF larvae and feces, efficiently separate the two, and improve production efficiency. For example, in a large-scale Black Soldier Fly breeding plant, several tons of materials can be processed per hour.
2) Accurate screening: According to the particle size characteristics of BSF larvae and feces, the appropriate sieve aperture can be selected to accurately separate the two, avoiding larvae being misscreened or too many larvae remaining in the feces.
3) Reduce damage: The vibration method is relatively gentle, which can reduce physical damage to BSF larvae during the separation process, ensure the integrity and quality of the larvae, and facilitate the subsequent processing and utilization of the larvae.
Commonly used sieve aperture:
1) When separating BSF larvae and feces, the commonly used sieve aperture is about 1-4 mm (depending on the actual situation).
2) The size of Black Soldier Fly larvae varies at different growth stages. Generally, the mature larvae are about 15-20 mm long, and the feces particle size is relatively small. The sieve aperture of 1-4 mm allows feces to pass through the sieve smoothly and retains the larvae, achieving a better separation effect.
3) In actual production, the sieve aperture can be appropriately adjusted according to the specific larval size, feces particle size and separation requirements. For example, if the Black Soldier Fly larvae are small, a sieve with a smaller aperture, such as 1-2 mm, can be used; if there are some larger particles in the feces, the aperture of the sieve can be increased to 3-4 mm.
