How To Choose A V Type Mixer That Suits Your Production Needs

Leave a message

The V type mixer is an efficient and uniform powder or particle mixing device, named for its V-shaped mixing container. It achieves a fast and uniform mixing effect by asymmetric rotation of the container to continuously separate, convect and shear the materials inside. Coreal Machinery has compiled some information for your reference.

Production capacity

Calculate output: According to the production scale and planned output, calculate the amount of materials to be mixed per hour or per day, and choose the appropriate equipment accordingly. For example, if a food factory needs to mix 10 tons of flour and other additives per day, it is necessary to choose equipment that meets this output.

Choose volume: The volume of the V-type mixer is available in 50L, 100L, 500L, 1000L and other specifications. The appropriate volume is determined based on the output and the filling factor of 0.4 - 0.6.

Material characteristics

Particle size: The particle size of the material determines the difficulty of mixing and the requirements of the mixer. For small-particle powders, a V-type mixer that prevents agglomeration should be selected. For large-particle particles, the shape and speed of the mixer blades should be considered to ensure mixing.

Density: Materials of different densities are prone to stratification when mixed. When the density difference is large, a V-type mixer with strong stirring capacity and mixing effect should be selected to ensure uniform mixing.

Flowability:For materials with good fluidity, choose a conventional V-type mixer. For materials with poor fluidity, choose a V-type mixer with special devices or strong stirring power.

Material requirements

Food and pharmaceutical industries: For industries with high hygiene requirements, the part of the V-type mixer that contacts the material should be made of food-grade or pharmaceutical-grade stainless steel (such as 304 or 316L stainless steel) to protect the material from contamination and facilitate cleaning and disinfection.

Chemical industry:If the material is corrosive, corrosion-resistant materials should be selected according to its properties to extend the life of the equipment.
