Plastic vibrating screen refers to a vibrating screening equipment whose main structural parts such as screen frame and screen base are made of engineering plastics. It combines the classification and filtration principles of vibrating screen with the special advantages of plastic materials. Coreal Machinery has compiled some information for your reference.

Core features and advantages
Excellent corrosion resistance:
This is the most prominent advantage of Plastic vibrating screen. Plastics such as PP and PE have strong tolerance to most acids, alkalis, salt solutions, organic solvents, etc.
Application scenarios:
Very suitable for screening of corrosive materials such as chemical industry (fertilizers, pigments, dyes, resins, additives, etc.), hydrometallurgy, water treatment, electroplating liquid filtration, food additives (such as citric acid, monosodium glutamate), pharmaceutical intermediates, etc.
Eliminate metal pollution:
All plastic contact parts ensure that the material does not contact any metal during the screening process, avoiding the contamination of the material by rust, heavy metal ions, etc.
Application scenarios: It is crucial for industries that are sensitive to metal ions, such as high-purity chemicals, advanced ceramic powders, lithium battery materials, high-end foods, cosmetic raw materials, etc.
Lightweight: Plastic materials are much lighter than metals, which greatly reduces the overall weight of the equipment and facilitates handling, installation and maintenance.
Easy to clean and maintain: Plastic surface is smooth, not easy to adhere to materials, and very convenient to clean, usually just rinse with water.
The structure is relatively simple and the maintenance workload is small.
Good wear resistance (relative to some materials): For some non-sharp granular materials, plastics also have certain wear resistance. However, for high hardness and sharp materials, the wear resistance may not be as good as metal screens (at this time, metal screens lined with plastic or special wear-resistant plastics can be selected).
Good insulation: Plastics are non-conductive, which is an advantage in specific environments that require anti-static or insulation.
Cost-effectiveness (specific scenarios): For small and medium-sized, highly corrosive applications, Plastic vibrating screens have significant cost advantages over expensive corrosion-resistant metal (such as 316L stainless steel, titanium, Hastelloy) vibrating screens.
Working principle
- After the vibration motor is started, it generates a high-speed rotating centrifugal force (exciting force).
- The exciting force is transmitted to the entire plastic screen box through the motor base.
- Under the combined action of the exciting force and the vibration isolation spring, the screen box makes a vibrating trajectory that is approximately circular or linear (depending on the motor type and installation method).
- The material enters the screen surface from the feed inlet and is thrown up, dispersed, and moves forward under the action of vibration.
- Particles smaller than the screen aperture (screen undersize) pass through the screen and fall into the lower screen or directly into the corresponding discharge port.
- Particles larger than the screen aperture (screen oversize) move along the screen surface and are finally discharged from the coarse material outlet.
- Multi-layer screens can achieve multi-level classification.
Plastic vibrating screen is an ideal choice for solving the problem of corrosive material screening and eliminating metal pollution. It uses the corrosion resistance, light weight, easy cleaning, and pollution-free characteristics of engineering plastics to play an important role in the fields of chemical industry, food, medicine, new materials, etc.
